Adam chairs the firm’s Investment Committee and leads Stralem’s research effort, overseeing the implementation of the US Large Cap Equity Strategy. He co-authors the firm's quarterly "West of the Hudson" letter, which is the product of the team's research trips around the world. He serves as a director of Stralem’s UCITS fund. Adam joined Stralem in 1998 after managing business units within the emerging technologies, consumer products and hotel/gaming industries.

- Hirschel B. AbelsonChairman
Hirschel co-founded Stralem & Company Incorporated in 1966. He conducts research and analysis on behalf of the US Large Cap Equity Strategy. Prior to founding Stralem, Hirschel was a partner in corporate finance as well as an economic adviser at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co., which he joined in 1956. Hirschel has managed and/or served on boards of companies in the food service, housing, manufacturing, computer products, specialty retailing, radio broadcasting and publishing industries. From 1987 to 2000, Hirschel served on the Trustee Investment Committee of Cornell University, where he is a member of the Advisory Council of the Johnson Graduate School of Management and a life member of the University Council. He is trustee emeritus of both Pitzer College, where he served on the Investment Committee, and Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School. He also is a former member of the National Advisory Council of Outward Bound.

- Andrea Baumann LustigPresident; Director, Private Client Asset Management
Andrea serves as president of the firm and leads Stralem’s private client business. She is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and a director of Stralem’s UCITS fund. Prior to joining Stralem in 2003, Andrea was a vice president with Bernstein Investment Research and Management, where she spent five years as a financial adviser working extensively with private clients. She joined Bernstein after 11 years at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Inc., an international management consulting firm, where she was a principal in the strategy practice and the director of operations for financial services in the United States and Europe. She was a financial analyst in mergers and acquisitions at Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc., and an associate in investment banking at Jefferies & Co. Andrea is vice president of Park Avenue Synagogue, where she chaired the capital campaign. She also is president of the Association for the Restoration of Jewish Works and Institutions in France (arifusa.org). She is a former trustee of the Horace Mann School, where she was president of the Parents Association. She is also an advisory board member of Yale SOM’s International Center for Finance, chair of annual giving for the Princeton class of 1980, a member of the scholarship committee for Le Rosey and a steering committee member of the Socrates Society of the Aspen Institute.

- Michael J. AlpertPortfolio Manager
Michael conducts research for the firm's US Large Cap Equity Strategy and chairs the firm’s Private Client Investment Committee. Prior to joining Stralem in 2010, he was a managing director at J&W Seligman & Co., where he was the portfolio manager and head of the Seligman Small Company Growth Team. Michael joined J&W Seligman in 1999 from business school as an investment analyst and became portfolio manager in 2006. He had security selection responsibility in a variety of sectors including consumer, technology, industrials, financial and commercial services. Prior to business school, Michael was a manager for seven years at Andersen Consulting, where he worked in technology and strategic consulting in the Communications Industry Group.

- Mei ChunMarketing and Client Services Manager
Mei is responsible for institutional and private client servicing as well as supporting new business development across all channels. She leads the implementation of marketing initiatives and market outreach to institutional and private clients. Prior to joining Stralem in 2004, Mei was a vice president, Investment Banking Division, at Credit Suisse in Hong Kong, where she oversaw an IPO joint listing in the United States and Hong Kong for Sinotrans, a leading integrated logistics provider in China, and a $300M asset injection for China Unicom. Previously she was an associate in the Investment Banking Division at JP Morgan in New York and Hong Kong, where she worked on a $3.5B joint venture advisory project between China Petroleum & Petrochemical Corporation and Saudi Aramco and Exxon Mobil.

- Edward N. Cooper, CFASenior Research Analyst
Ned is a senior member of the ﬁrm's Research Team. Prior to joining Stralem 2006, he spent 10 years with Bloomberg L.P., a ﬁnancial information provider, where he worked as an equity fundamental analyst, a ﬁxed income research analyst and a French translator with the localization group. In his positions at Bloomberg, Ned specialized in security-level and portfolio-level analytics. He placed ﬁrst out of a class of 40 in the 6-week intensive Bloomberg analytics desk training program. He is a member of the CFA Institute and NYSSA and is a CFA Charter holder. He also served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Togo, West Africa.

- David FelsenQuantitative Analyst and Trader
David supervises Stralem’s performance analysis and reporting, and is responsible for producing and presenting the ﬁrm’s broker and trading performance analysis to the ﬁrm’s Best Execution Committee. He also oversees the implementation and rebalancing of asset allocation strategies for the ﬁrm's wealth management clients as well as trading for client accounts. Additionally David acts as liaison to the ﬁrm’s GIPS compliance veriﬁcation ﬁrm. David joined Stralem in 2010 as an intern, was hired full-time in 2011 as performance analyst, and in 2017 was promoted to his current position.

- Erik C. KleinbeckDirector, Business Development and Relationship Management
Erik joined Stralem in 2016 and is responsible for business development and client relationship management for institutional clients, consultants, family offices and registered investment advisers. Prior to joining Stralem, Erik spent nine years as senior managing director, business development at Third Avenue Management, responsible for sales and client relationship management of the firm’s alternative and traditional strategies covering domestic and overseas institutions and intermediaries. Previously Erik was managing director with SPARX Investment & Research, USA, Inc., from 2003 to 2007, after spending nine years at Warburg Pincus Asset Management and Credit Suisse Asset Management in various business development, client relationship management and operational roles in both New York and Tokyo.

Philippe joined Stralem in 1997 and directs all trading and operations for the firm. He chairs the firm’s Best Execution Committee, which is responsible for the evaluation of broker performance. Prior to joining Stralem, he was a trader in charge of ADR's at Société Générale Securities Corp.

- Mercedes MarquinaPortfolio Administrator
Mercedes oversees and performs all daily reconciliations of all institutional and private client accounts, conducting research to resolve any cash, position or trade settlement discrepancies. She also serves as the Stralem liaison to custodian banks and brokers. Mercedes assists with account openings and closings and all account changes. Prior to joining Stralem in 2006, she spent seven years at AllianceBernstein, where she served as a portfolio administrator, reconciling large accounts comprised of equity and fixed income products both domestic and international institutions. Earlier she worked at Dean Witter in the mutual fund department calculating daily NAVs.

Joann, a certified public accountant (inactive), has been responsible for financial, accounting and regulatory reporting for Stralem for more than 25 years. In 2004 she was appointed the firm’s chief compliance officer, and oversees and directs all internal and external regulatory and compliance matters. In 2008 Joann was certified by the National Society of Compliance Professionals as a Certified Securities Compliance Professional (CSCP). Prior to Stralem, she worked for EisnerAmper LLP, a certified public accounting firm, as senior audit manager. In this role, Joann was responsible for all aspects of audits, including audit planning, supervision of audit staff, and financial statement review for SEC clients and financial services firms.

A certified public accountant (inactive), Leeza is responsible for Stralem’s accounting function, including the preparation of financial statements and budgets. Leeza also serves as the liaison between the firm’s bank and auditors. Prior to joining Stralem more than 13 years ago, she served as partnership accounting specialist for Banc of America Securities, working closely with the product development team. Previously she was a senior audit accountant at Grant Thornton, LLP, responsible for various audit and financial verifications for clients in the financial industry.
